Passive House Tour: The Grove

Join us in Cooperstown, NY for a tour of The Grove, a three-building PHIUS pre-certified development. The buildings consist of an 11 unit apartment building, a new construction duplex and a historic hybrid duplex.

Discussion will start from a development design standpoint looking at the last two multi-family projects completed by this team (Chestnut Crossing and The Bank Lofts) and how those projects continue to be refined to reflect the construction of The Grove. Pros and cons of amenities, common areas, laundry, etc. will be evaluated. The apartment building is nearly complete, opening for tenants on September 1st. The two duplexes are in various stages of construction. One is underway with interior finishes and the historic townhouse will be wrapping up foundation work and preparing to relocate the historic house back onto its new foundation.

If you are curious about mechanical design and implementation, air seal strategies, and the order of operation on PHIUS projects, This is a great opportunity to discuss and ask hard questions. (If your questions are too hard, no food for you!)
